Okay, so I had a lot of fun with this one. I decided to break it apart a little more then just 11 objects however because of the screws and the inside of the vise, for the spring inside I uses a helix polygonal object and extruded it out.

still a fairly easy model, I used a cylinder tool to start off and later merged center on the bottom to get that cup real quick.

I liked the overall challenge of this, it wasn't really challenging though, I guess I really liked making it because of the shape and separation from both of them.

Overall completion 15minutes.

Both objects in this shape were cylinders, I uses the image to extend out in sideview the correct preparations for both. then with control of the vertices I use shaped the object and lastly I switched from 1 - 3 (soften mode) and placed holden edges to retain the shape with the bevel tool.

Its important to find what you want to capture in a 3D object. For the most part, most objects that have predictable results like shown; can be only 2 pictures because we understand what the shape is from the top and the side view.

Lesson 4: Practice - In Class Exercises

"Life is tough, and there are a lot of important decisions to make along the way. One of the biggest and most stressful can be the decision of what to do with your life, and who you want to be. In talking with people, I have found that the answers to those questions usually start when you find someone that inspires you." - LMS

I've already started my first post already on this blog, but I really like concept artwork, digital illustration and 3d modeling. I would like to expand my variety in artist outside of the normal and some of the artist that I like and inspire me currently works at AtomHawk.

Bogdan Marica:

Bogdan’s art career prior to joining Atomhawk includes a Masters Degree in Sculpture and concept art roles at Ubisoft, Gameloft and City Interactive in Romania. Since joining Atomhawk, Bogdan has been busy on a number of upcoming projects and has already created stunning marketing art for The Order: 1886. - Atomhawk
